Lessons are a great way to teach! As a teacher hosting a lesson on Quizizz, you control everything about the way your students experience your content. You can choose from a variety of slide types and include polls and questions at any point in your lesson to make it informative and engaging for your students.
Here’s everything you need to know about hosting a lesson on Quizizz:
Joining a Lesson
Joining a lesson is easy and is similar to a quiz. All you need to do is share an active code with your students which they need to enter to join the session.
Presenter-led experience
You control the pace of your lesson. Lessons allow you to control whether or not to mirror the content displayed on the presenter’s device onto student devices. When applied, this will ensure that all slides and questions appear on student devices at the same time. Everyone progresses at the same pace and you can control whether to pause, move between slides, or stay on the same slide. This is ideal in a remote learning situation where every student gets to see content on their own device.
You can also turn this off so that everyone focuses on one single screen.
Settings and controls
You can choose the settings for your Lesson before presenting. Go through the available setting and toggle on the ones that are relevant for your session.
Slides and Questions
There are a number of slide types to choose from in a Lesson. There are a variety of text slides and media slides available in the editor. Just click on ‘Add’ to open the editor and select the slide that you wish to include.
Please note that all slides, apart from the Intro slide, can be deleted or rearranged at any point.
