Now you can easily import all those old questions saved in excel/CSV files to Quizizz! The new import question feature allows you to import these questions with just a click of a button.
How does it work?
- Click on the create button to start the quiz creation. Add quiz details like name, cover image etc.
- Click on the import button on the top right of modal and upload your CSV file. ( Make sure your file is in the correct format, details below).
- Once the file is processed you will be redirected the quiz editor, you can check your questions and make any edits if required.
- Click on the green finish button on top right of the screen to publish this quiz.
Q) What is a CSV file?
A) A CSV is a comma separated values file, which allows data to be saved in a table structured format.
Q) Do I need to upload my CSV in a particular format?
A) Your CSV file should have the following headers (order of columns doesn't matter). Here is a sample CSV file.
|Question||Required||Text of the question.|
|Option 1||Required||Text for the first option.|
|Option 2||Required||Text for the second option.|
|Correcrt Answer||Required||Option number with the current answer, will have a value between 1 to 4.|
|Time||Optional||Time allocated for the question in seconds (default value will be 30).|
|Option 3||Optional||Text for the third option.|
|Option 4||Optional||Text for the fourth option.|
Q) I am getting an error while uploading my CSV file?
A) Please check the format of your file, make sure all the required headers are present. If the problem persists please share the file and email us contact[at]quizizz[dot]com.
Q) My Quizzes are in the PDF and word documents, Can I import them?
A) Currently, we are only supporting the CSV format for import. You can try converting these files to CSV and then import them to Quizizz.
