You have 8 game settings that you can select before starting a quiz. This screen appears right after you click the "Play" or "Homework" button on a quiz page. The 8 options are explained below:
If this is turned ON, each of your students will receive the questions in a different order. This makes it difficult for students to "get help" from each other :)
Turn this OFF if you want the questions to appear in the original order for everyone.
If this is turned ON, the answers will be shuffled for each question (different students will get a different order.) This helps if you don't want to worry about shuffling the answers while creating the quiz.
Turn this OFF if you want the answers to appear in the original order for everyone.
If this is turned ON, students will see the answers after each question, and in the quiz review at the end.
Turn this OFF if you don't want answers to be shown anywhere.
Show Quiz Review
If this is turned ON, students will be able to review the questions at the end of the quiz.
Turn this OFF if you don't want this to be shown. This is useful if you plan to use the test with another class, and don't want the questions leaked!
If this is turned ON, students will see a leaderboard after each question, and see their rank during and after the quiz.
Turn this OFF if you don't want students to see each others' scores/rank... i.e. if you don't want the session to be competitive.
If this is ON, we award students points based on accuracy+speed. 600 points for getting it correct, and 0-400 based on speed. (An incorrect answer is always 0, regardless of speed.)
If you turn this OFF, the timer is turned off. Students will get 1000 for correct and 0 for incorrect.
If this is ON, students will see funny images (called memes) after each question. You can also select one of the meme sets that you have created, click here to see how.
Turn this OFF to not show memes during the quiz.
If this is ON, the music will be unmuted on student devices. They can still individually mute it in the game menu (at the top left corner of the student app)
Turn this OFF to mute the music for students. (They can still individually unmute it from the game menu.)
Now, when you start a live or homework game, we will save your quiz settings. The next time you start a game, it will pick up the settings you used last time! We store your live and homework settings separately, so you can have different settings for live and homework games.
